Does your LinkedIn profile photo reflect who you are in real life?
These four random connection suggestions that I snapped from my own LinkedIn is a great example of the types of profile photos that I see all the time.
There’s nothing actually wrong with any of them, but which one appeals to you most?
I like profile number 3 for the purposes of LinkedIn. It’s clear, it’s head and shoulders, you can look him in the eye and he looks friendly and approachable (it’s NOT a mugshot).
Having said that, you don’t need a professional headshot, and you CAN have some fun and show your personality.
Not that your profile photo actually represents your achievements and abilities, but it is human nature to subconsciously judge people in a split second.
So have a quick check of your LinkedIn profile and consider updating your image.
