I have no doubt that you love to talk about your area of expertise and freely give out tips and solutions to anyone that asks.

I mean, it’s part of becoming the go-to person in your field isn’t it?  And after all…

But sometimes the ‘brain pickers’ can ask for a little too much, or a little too often and it can become a bit of a drain on your time and productivity.

So I invite you to:

    1. Set up an online calendar booking system.  A really simple option is Calendly, a more all-encompassing system is Dubsado (I use this one and it does a WHOLE lot more than just bookings).
    2. Create a bookable appointment for a length of time that suits you, my bookings are for 1 hour but you can make these shorter if you like.
    3. Add a price to that booking and set it to be paid at the time of booking by integrating your Stripe or PayPal account.
    4. Then set up an email template to send each time you have a ‘brain picker’ in your inbox.  Here are some instructions for setting up templates in Google Workspace and Outlook.

Once all this is done you can confidently and efficiently offer a paid consultation and get paid for the years of gathering, implementing and perfecting your industry expertise.

Now don’t get me wrong, this is not to replace a short introductory ‘Clarity Call’ so each party can work out if they are a good fit to work together.  Those calls should ideally be short and sharp and you’re definitely not giving away all of your best advice on these.
